    What you should know about the role

    The Implementation Analyst ensures that deployments of new systems, modification of applications, or enhancements to existing systems are planned and follow established changed management and project management processes. The Implementation Analyst coordinates project activities between business units, the Programmer Analyst, IT Support, and IT Infrastructure to support business activities, installation of systems and programs, and ongoing maintenance of systems and applications.

    Major Duties

    • Analyzes new and existing programs to increase operating efficiency and/or adapt to new requirements by following established change management guidelines
    • Initiates projects to develop, enhance, and implement business systems in the credit union. Updates and modifies software and hardware of business systems as they are developed internally or are delivered from outside vendors
    • Administers critical analysis of test results and delivers solutions to problem areas.
    • Reviews business system portfolio to evaluate existing systems with the intent of consolidating the capabilities into anchor systems
    • Develops and maintains user manuals, support documentation, and guidelines in an effort to empower business units and IT Support to be able to maintain systems on an ongoing basis and to be used to educate staff members in the use of credit union systems
    • Manages third-party vendors for the development of new systems to interface with the Credit Union’s systems
    • Maintains ongoing communications with IT department personnel and management, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, portfolio status reporting, and other important information
    • Provides second-line technical support to system users and works with IT Support so that operational problems are resolved quickly without significant interruption to service
    • Strictly adheres to and enforces system security policies and follows all company standards. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies

    Physical Requirements

    Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.


    Working Conditions

    Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.


    Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

    Must be able to perform job functions with supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.

    Interpersonal Skills

    A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.



    Five to seven years of relevant experience and an Associate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred OR Three to five years of relevant experience and an Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred



    A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent project management certification and other technical certifications desirable.
